Montecatini is one of the “thermal baths” in Tuscany. The place with a good 20.000 inhabitants offers several bathing establishments (all nine addresses on the official website: http://www.montecatini.it/tedesco/terme.html), as well as around 200 hotels and accommodation options in the vicinity.

Most spas offer real cures that last at least two weeks and include a holistic program, from massages to walks to mud and drinking cures. But day tourists can also buy day passes, as in the Tettuccio. The bathrooms have a modern design and some of them blend harmoniously into the historical architecture.

In principle, all baths are fed by a thermal spring that supplies water that is rich in salt and minerals. The water temperature is around 33 degrees Celsius, but the temperature can vary depending on the bath.
