The Etruscans used the thermal springs of Chianciano Terme before the Romans. Several springs supply the area with different types of medicinal waters. The water temperatures start at around 16 degrees Celsius (mineral water for drinking cures) and end at 24, 33 and 38 degrees Celsius. Depending on the water, it contains sulfur and bicarbonate compounds, as well as other minerals. Bicarbonate in particular fulfills an important function in preventing excessive acid build-up in the blood.
On the edge of the medieval-looking village of Chinciano is a thermal bath that offers various water basins and additional wellness offers. In addition, you will find various types of therapeutic offers.
