The constant running around the campsite to the next water point can be quite annoying. As active campers, we therefore have the collapsible water tank from Colapz * too laid. The container has a very small pack size (25x25x10cm) and a tap for easy water withdrawal which can be fixed. The lid can be completely removed, thus ensuring good drying and cleaning. However, since the lid is only attached, no water should be transported in it while driving.

What should i be aware of?

When on vacation it is in everyone's interest not to get sick and to be able to enjoy the free time to the fullest. To ensure this, caution should be exercised when consuming tap water in other countries. Even if the water quality in Italy has to meet EU standards, 100% security is not always guaranteed at all times.

To be on the safe side and to prevent illnesses, it is better to consume packaged water from the supermarket. However, there is no need to warn against small amounts of tap water in Italy. The water can therefore be used without hesitation to brush your teeth.

What are the signs of contaminated water?

Tap water is usually transparent. If it is soiled or dirty in any way, this can usually be recognized first by a changed color. In this case you should refrain from consuming the water. A changed smell can also be a sign that the water is contaminated and that it is better to keep your hands off it. A change can be noticed at the latest in the taste. However, to be on the safe side, a test should be made before consumption and the drinking water quality should be checked on the camping site.

Are there any test options?

In order to carry out a quick drinking water test, the professional does not necessarily have to work. There are enough rapid tests for private use. However, if these tests show a deviation from the norm, it is advisable to report the contamination as soon as possible.

Often, however, the cause of the contamination lies in the in-house pipe. The drinking water officers have no influence on domestic inflows. A drinking water test can be used to determine whether there are germs or bacteria in the water. The tests can simply be taken with you on vacation and carried out on site.
